As a series of Regional Student Sports Week, the Youth and Sports Center and National Sports Committee of Indonesia of Yogyakarta Special Region (KONI DIY) held a Taekwondo Championship on March 16-17 at Bale Lantip, Digital Technology University of Indonesia.

Head of Data and IT Division of KONI DIY, Sri Rejeki explained that this championship is held every two years. The winners of the competition will be categorized based on their region of origin; the regency of Sleman, Gunung Kidul, Bantul, Kulon Progo, and Yogyakarta Municipality.

The opening of this championship was attended by Rudy Koeshardijanto (The General Chair of the Taekwondo Regional Management of Indonesia in Yogyakarta Special Region), Wesley HT (The General Secretary of Taekwondo Regional Management of Indonesia in Yogyakarta Special Region, and The Chairman of the Committee), Teguh Wijono Budi Prasetijo (The Chairman of Widya Bakti Education Foundation of Yogyakarta), and Totok Suprawoto (the Rector of the Digital Technology University of Indonesia). The chairman of Widya Bakti Education Foundation of Yogyakarta appreciated this championship as an effort to build the achievements of the younger generation and to produce Taekwondo athletes in Yogyakarta Special Region. In this event, the Chairman of Widya Bakti Education Foundation of Yogyakarta also gave the Rector's Cup of the Digital Technology University of Indonesia. The trophy is awarded to the athletes with the best performances for the male and female categories. The support from the Digital Technology University of Indonesia in various sport events is one of the commitments with KONI DIY. "Other collaborations are realized by providing scholarships for outstanding athletes to study at the Digital Technology University of Indonesia," he said.

The Chairman of Widya Bakti Education Foundation (WBEF) Yogyakarta, Ir. Teguh Wijono Budi Prasetijo, M.M., together with The Rector of Digital Technology University of Indonesia (DTUI), Ir. Totok Suprawoto, M.M., M.T., visited The Regent's Office of Bantul Regency to meet H. Abdul Halim Muslih (17/2).

The Chairman of Widya Bakti Foundation of Yogyakarta informed about the success of changing the form of STMIK AKAKOM into the Digital Technology University of Indonesia, as a university that has a specialty in the development of digital technology. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Foundation and the Rector of Digital Technology University of Indonesia (DTUI) gave the Decree for the Appointment of the Bantul Regent (ex officio) as one of the members of the Advisory Council of the Digital Technology University of Indonesia.

In the COVID-19 pandemic era, the Digital Technology University of Indonesia continues to build various collaborations with many parties, including the Bantul Regency Government. "Digital Technology University of Indonesia is involved in making various applications to support the information technology sector in Bantul Regency, such as Resi Deswita and Bantul Online Shop," explained the Rector of the Digital Technology University of Indonesia.

The Regent of Bantul appreciated the change in the form of STMIK AKAKOM to become Digital Technology University of Indonesia and the role of the university in the development of Bantul Regency. The cooperation that has been established between Digital Technology University of Indonesia and Bantul Regency can be improved continuously, especially in the information technology sector.

To follow up the vaccination process for stage 1 and stage 2, Digital Technology University of Indonesia (DTUI), formerly AKAKOM College of Management and Computer Science (STMIK Akakom), in collaboration with dr. S. Hardjolukito Hospital held a Covid-19 booster vaccination (3rd dose) for the employees (19/1). The event was held in Building B of Hardjolukito Hospital and was attended by around 450 participants from 5 institutions namely DTUI, AKPY-STIPER, INSTIPER, STRD VISION, and the Higher Education Service in Region V (LLDIKTI Region V) of Yogyakarta. The Head of LLDIKTI Region V, Prof. Aris Junaidi also participated in that activity.

The Coordinator of the Hardjolukito Hospital Vaccination Team, dr. Arie Chandra, Sp.Rad., said that this booster vaccine used the AstraZeneca vaccine with a dose of 0.25 ml. "The participants who can get this booster vaccine are those who are 18 years and above, they have also been vaccinated at least 6 (six) months from the 2nd vaccine," he explained. The Rector of  Digital Technology University of Indonesia (DTUI), Ir. Totok Suprawoto, M.M., M.T. stated that this booster vaccination aimed to increase the level of immunity and to reduce the level of exposure to the new variants of the virus, as well as to support the government's efforts to prevent the Covid-19 virus. This booster vaccination was expected to support Face-to-face Learning (F2FL) which will be held by DTUI in the even semester of 2021/2022. "Even though the booster vaccine has been given, the health protocols must still be followed." Ir. Teguh Wijono Budi Prasetijo, M.M., said that DTUI's step in conducting the Covid-19 booster vaccination was to build herd immunity in the university environment. New variant viruses continue to emerge, while the campus must be prepared with face-to-face lectures. Currently, online learning at DTUI continues to run, supported by technology-based learning facilities.

The Higher Education Service in Region V (LLDIKTI Region V) held a farewell and welcome event to the change of the leadership (17/1). This event took place at the LLDIKTI Regional V Office, Yogyakarta. The Acting Head of LLDIKTI Region V, Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H., M.H. has officially been replaced by Prof. drh. Aris Junaidi, Ph.D. who previously served as the Director of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) Ministry of education, culture, research, and technology. Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H. M.H. then assigned as the Head of LLDIKTI Region VI in Central Java.

The Chairperson of Widya Bakti Education Foundation (WBEF) Yogyakarta, Ir. Teguh Wijono Budi Prasetijo, M.M. representing ABP-PTSI DIY attended that event. The Chairperson of the WBEF congratulated the new Higher Education Service in Region IV and Region V leaders, he wished them success and he also hoped that they are going to be able to carry out their respective mandates.

The Chairman of WBEF also expressed his gratitude to Bhimo Widyo Andoko who has provided a lot of support in the process of the changing form of formerly AKAKOM College of Management and Computer Science (STMIK Akakom) into the Digital Technology University of Indonesia (UTDI), as well as has participated in the process of the data migration of DTUI so that the process can be done quickly and smoothly when he served as the Acting Head of the Higher Education Service in Region V.
